Aliens in the Airport & Lost in Seattle

1. Very early on last night I had a frantic "chased by aliens (the usual Geiger type)" dream, this time in a big airport-like setting. I was trying to herd a group of people through this cavernous complex and try to escape somehow. We came to a big, open staircase and climbed up and up. The alien was not too many floors down and we were trying not to make too much noise and let him know where we were, but he was still coming. A little girl with us pointed to a small door in the wall, kind of like a little elevator door with some kind of electric lock. She said it was a safe room, and that once the lock was triggered nobody could get in for a prescribed period of time. We hurridly crawled through the opening one after another. Somebody pushed "Jonesey Cat" (played by my cat Eric) through. The last person was a woman, who shut the door while still on the outside! Why did she do that? The alien came up while she was fiddling with the lock and sprayed her with acid. She screamed, then he threw her over the stair railing. Even though the walls of the safe room seemed to be primarily windows, they were VERY thick and virtually inpenetrable. The alien could see us but not get in. He disappeared for awhile...

...then came round from another direction and crashed into the transparent wall. It stretched inward and he pushed several feet (!) into the room. It was very cartoon-like, as if the window were rubber. Kind of scary! A full-sized door opened in the far wall, and light streamed in from outside: open air! A man in an army officer's uniform walked in to help us escape. He stood right in front of the "rubber" window, and I hurridly moved him aside just as the alien made another attack.

2. Later I had one of those frustrating dreams that starts at UW then ends up with me downtown trying to get home. This one involved inflatable boats and some shops.

3. Then a Sea Scout dream. The SES Propeller was wood instead of steel, and badly in need of paint. We were going to the annual Scout Awards Ceremony and Ball accross Lake Union, and everybody had gone on ahead of me. I was going to paddle over in a canoe or skiff or something, but was having a hard time a) changing into my dress uniform, and b) finding a vessel that was sound and had all the requisite paddles or oars.
